Trees on Houses

Have I bored you yet talking about all things palmetto?

No need to answer that.

Today, let’s look at the ever-popular subject of trees on houses.

Here in South Carolina, we put palmetto trees on pretty much everything that stands still long enough for us to do so. A house definitely fits into that category.

The palmetto tree and crescent are the symbols on our state flag. So if we can get both the tree and the crescent on a house, all the better.

Still, as with our mailboxes, there are a few people who insist on using palm trees instead of palmettos.

That’s OK. We’re a pretty laid-back neighborhood. We appreciate the effort.
