You thought I had covered every possible aspect of palmetto tree mailboxes here in the neighborhood, didn’t you?
You thought wrong.
Sure, I talked about the mailbox stands, and then the mailboxes, and then the mailbox flags…and even the yard flags next to the mailbox stands. Whew.
But I haven’t covered the fake palmetto mailboxes. Which are actually palm tree mailboxes.
They don’t try to look all official-like, with the palmetto and crescent from the South Carolina flag. Instead, they just go with the subtropical, beachy look. Which, if you think about it, is still South Carolina-like. Just in a different way.
