The dogs in our neighborhood are very obedient. Tell them to “Sit,” and they do. Tell them to “Stay,” and they do.
For hours.
Days.
Even years at a time.
OK, so maybe our real dogs don’t. But our statues do. We can always count on them to stay right where we put them.
And that’s a good quality in a statue.
